Six Things That Make Me Happy

Jill Wheeler put a post on her site about six things that make her happy. I figured that I'd copy. It's my first meme!

1. Bubble Baths with a glass of red wine and a good book. Sometimes I mix it up and take a bubble bath sans book and think about the plot line for my novel.
2. Accomplishments! (I broke 25k yesterday!)
3. Paychecks (on Friday I will be 4 behind...so two months...right now it's just 7 and a half weeks). Getting a paycheck would make me ecstatic.
4. Chocolate. (the weight gain after, not so much)
5. Cuddling up with my hubby.
6. Good conversation with good friends.

With this whole money thing I am having a super hard time being upbeat. I feel like a whiny little blob of complaints. I thought that it would all be fixed by the time I got back from Mexico, but I'm pretty sure that it won't be until next week.

And then I'm being slow at getting my stuff done. Of course I am being slow. I'm stressed because I'm not getting paid. Everyone else is paid up. They got paid up while I was in Mexico (which I guess means no money for me until the bank releases their hold.) Would it be so hard to just tell me?

Sorry, this was suppose to be a happy post verses a whiny one.

Bubble Baths!

All better.

I'm feeling pretty stressed about money too, but the thought of a bubble bath is so inviting. I haven't done that in a long time. I can't wait to have that option again. I've been watching those British Cleaning shows so I can learn some tips. They'll be so important when we get our new place.

Congrats on getting the word count. Also, majorly awesome new design on your blog front.

Those things are nice! A nice bath is guaranteed to lift the spirits.

Great work on the 25k words. The only reason I have so much done is I did the insane National Novel Writing Month. It nearly killed me too.

I am totally stressed about money. Ugh! I really pray you get your paycheck soon! That's unconscionable. (I don't know how to spell that.)

I recently had worked for someone who ended up not paying me, and it turned into a horrible ordeal - I'm not quite sure what your situation is, but I hope it works out for you. Being broke and stressed sucks majorly. =/

@Christina- Good luck with the move! And thanks for the compliment about the blog front. I have a couple other things that I need to do to it...eventually...

@writer- I didn't even attempt NaNo. Too hard core for me. Congrats on doing it!

@spy- I am sorry that you are so stressed about money. I read about some of it on your blog :(. I hope that it all works out for you.

@Lyrist- This situation is a little different. He's got the money now that clients have paid up (which always happens in Jan), but now the banks are sitting on it. Everyone else is paid up which is why I am 3 instead of 2 behind...he didn't have enough for my new check. I'd leave, but for certain other issues I really need to stick it out until December. Hopefully I will get paid soon.

Everyone- Thanks for your kind words. :)
