Fleeting Freedom

Sorry that I've not been around. My week off ended up being very, very busy and overly short lived. I *maybe* got 1000 words in and hardly did anything on my side company. What did I do? Besides some school work, I am not entirely sure. Mostly getting caught up on stuff around the house and related paper work. My sister's family is coming into town this weekend. They arrive today at 1pm. I am bubbling with excitement! We have a very full weekend with activities including the zoo, the beach, the lake front, Millennium Park, Navy Pier Fireworks and more. Sooo excited.

Now to finish cleaning....I will be around to comment on your blogs Sunday night :)

Sounds like a nice weekend. Have fun with the visitors!

Is this cleaning in the 'quick run around with the vacuum' sense, or in the more usual 'stuff everything into cupboards, there's family coming' sense?

I hope you had a great weekend! Whenever I have time off, I mean to get so much done, but I end up getting all the stupid stuff done. But you know? It feels good to get that stuff cleared off the to-do list now and then!

@writer- it was a fun weekend...but very exhausing :)

@stu- it was more like a spring cleaning, which was nice to have done.

@spy- (you'll always be spy to me :-P) it was very nice to get a bunch of stuff crossed off the to-do list! not only did i spring clean the condo, but i got a bunch of pictures organized, but not my wedding pictures. i will either do that next week or will admit defeat and pay someone to do it. the three year anniversary is quickly approaching and i think it ought to be done before that!

I hope the weekend was as much fun and more than you anticipated. I'm not writing as much as I'd like to either.

@GutsyWriter- It was a lot of fun. My hubby and I took them around to a bunch of fun places and I guess that my sister and her three kids were tripping all over each other trying to tell my mom the stories of their Chicago adventures :)
