Disappearing Me

So, one of my goals is to get back to my wedding day weight. I don't know if that is terribly reasonable since I was 98lbs on my wedding day (I am very short) and that was back when I was still doing some very low-level local modeling. Most of them were pin up style (but I put a normal one on here instead :-P) so when I was close to the old weight they were really motivating to lose weight, but now are just depressing!

I think it's reasonable to revamp my goals for my late 20's to be different than my early 20's. So, instead I am going to try to lose 10% and will be ecstatic :).

To do this I am going to cut out all beverages with a calorie count about 10 (primarily meaning alcohol) from now until my birthday (mid September) with the exception of charity events. I am also going to eat either cereal or a homemade salad for two meals of the day for the next two weeks. Also, no desert (besides my nephew's b-day party) until my b-day. I am hoping to have.

Any of my other blogger-friends out there interested in joining me in this last-ditch-before-summer-ends weight loss?

The only slight thing with that is that it seems like a plan guarranteed to only work for a limited period, because you're cutting out things you will probably want to go back to in the long run. Good luck, nevertheless.

i just dropped all dairy, carbs sugar and caffeeine - lost 14 lbs and dont crave any of it anymore. little drastic but I feel great!

@shelli- I am anticipating that is what is going to happen...well, hoping really. The main motivation is that I really just don't want to have to buy new clothes...lol.

Congrats on losing 14 lbs! Very awesome :) You are an inspiration :)

@stu- see above :) I'm hoping that I will stop wanting the bad things. Maintaining a weight is much easier than getting to it. Also, I am starting to exercise, which will help with maintaining. Really, I'm very much still within a healthy range so my habits aren't horrible so I (hopefully) will be okay :) But yes, crash diets never work, and that's not really what I'm going for. I hope to stop craving/wanting that stuff :)

Lauren,

If that's the photo of what you look like now, sitting at the desk in red, then you look just as thin and beautiful to me. I'm sure you'll succeed as you are motivated.

@gutsy- Thanks :) My biggest thing is not wanting to buy new clothes. It's cheaper to just lose a little and fit back into them :)

I've learned a long time to never discuss weight, so I won't. :)

However, I agree with GutsyWriter in that every picture I've seen of you, you look great.

That said, good luck with your goal. I'm sure you will make it.

I cut out alcohol but unfortunately replaced it with cokes. That didn't help me any.

*she raises hand* Lauren I have been getting 21/2-3 hours a day of exercise. One hour on the elliptical, one hour swimming laps, 1/2 hour walking with Christopher, and 1/2 hour mucking stalls. Trying to loose the weight I packed on writing my MG book. It's rough but I'm going to do this! Good luck with yours. I couldn't give up sweet stuff forever. And I have type one! But for now! :)

@writer- Thanks :) It is more preemtive.

@charles- I've never been much of a pop person. I used to always drink it watered down as a child and the undiluted stuff doesn't taste good to me.

@robyn- WOW! That is awesome! I take a half hour walk with my dog most days, but that's all.

You're beautiful no matter what you weigh, but I totally understand about feeling great about yourself and what you can fit into. I'm very short too, so I how hard it can be to not put on weight just by eating a cookie!

I've given you an award over on my blog. You can find it by clicking link name. Just scroll to the very bottom of the post.

Yeah, that's supposed to say "here" not "link name" but you get the idea. :D
