Well, I did it...I got the next set of work out to my crit partners! This section is pretty rough so hopefully they don't think I'm a crap writer, but we shall see.
I had a great weekend! It's very sad, but I don't think that I'm going to have time to put up the Christmas tree this year. I don't know...maybe week after next I might have a window of time. It just doesn't feel like the Christmas season without it to come home to. On top of that, our demon kitty, Skittles would love to climb in it. I'm glad that we have cheap ornaments.
I am not going to be doing much writing this week as I have finals in both my classes and projects due in both my jobs. I'm very much looking forward to the winter break from my classes. The hubby and I are behind on date nights :)
There is an element to my novel that is slightly "steampunk". Does anyone out there in blog-land have any good reqs for a steampunk novel?

4 tidbits:
Your kitten is named Skittles? I LOVE that.
I love that kitty name, too! LOL! So sad about the tree. I love my CHristmas tree, but I always dread putting it up. So much work! I enjoy it after it's done, though.
*blush* What is steampunk?
Thanks guys. She's a cute cat :).
Spy, no need to blush, it's not super well known outside of its close followers. Steampunk is a subgenre of fantasy that basically has steam powered technology or alternate technology advances. The Golden Compass has similar steampunk stuff in it to what my novel will have (but my novel isn't anything like Golden Compass, just similar that a steampunk element is there, but not over burdening). Many steampunk novels are very dirty and gritty, but mine isn't.
good job with getting your work out to your CPs! I feel you about the tree; I'm in a townhouse with three roommates this year and though we've talked about getting a small tree, we're all way too busy to coordinate the choosing and buying and decorating of it (and I'm not entirely sure where we'd put it anyways!) but it doesn't quite feel like the holidays without one.
